What you should know about Piano Beat
An initial free lesson will provide the opportunity to find out child's level of musical understanding. Feedback on progress will be provided to child and parent regularly and preparation for Australian Musical Examination Board (AMEB) piano examinations may be discussed. After school hours and weekends are suitable depending on availability. The program includes:
1) Discussion and development of child's goals e.g. piano learning for AMEB examinations, leisure, performance
2) Selection of pieces and musical compositions to challenge and develop child's musical capacity e.g. classical, jazz, contemporary
3) Explore child's strengths and weaknesses and tailor teaching styles to maximise their learning ability
4) Provision of books and materials for practice at home and in class
Upon development of program, weekly lessons will be organised. An individual program will then be developed to tailor lessons to child's needs. (more).
