With formal training in Classical and a degree in Contemporary music, I have been teaching countless students from kinder kids all the way through to Universities. Students feedback has been amazing thus far and to have something to show friends and family is invigorating and shows a real sense of musical progression and maturity towards becoming an artist.' Studio time is offered at normal tuition rates. 'As someone that is working alongside students on their projects, the energy and enthusiasm is palpable. It has given past attendees the confidence, passion and knowledge to continue further on in the music industry and is recommended for all students of music. By offering students this chance to record, produce and then have a CD in hand is simply priceless. I have also just started a program offering students the opportunity to have their song recorded, working alongside them with my producer hat on. Students learn such things as creating textures and using loops, recording techniques with microphones, being introduced to tools that will make their song sound edgy, ambient or anything in between and theoretical ideas, learning how to make harmonies and the power of rhythmic placement. Audio recordings of lessons available upon request and initial material compiled onto a DVD and handed to students. And for this, no matter what style of music, a strong foundation is essential. My end goal is to be able to teach an individual enough for them to teach themselves away from lessons. Expertise of different genres and a very strong background in Jazz and Classical theory, lessons are tailored towards achieving maximum potential in the shortest amount of time. I plug theory directly into a practical application and have found this to be the best way of retaining interest and stimulating a learning mind.
